Learning About Stress

Mr. Lane came in today and spoke with us about stress and how to identify it. He read a wonderful book... I have to get the name of it. (Once I do I will share it with you.) The book used animals to describe the different ways stress can manifest. Mr. Lane also talked about how stress can spread through a group of people.

Mr. Lane read the book and the talked about the animals.

Then students got into partners, picked an animal (stress) and practiced a scenario to act out in a situation.

These are the animals and their description. They will be posted in our classroom for students to reference.

Just within a day we have become experts in identifying our stress and what animal we are being. Super awesome!

Today was a wonderful day! We had fun exploring our classroom, learning different expectations and just getting to know one another! We enjoyed our first special today LIBRARY! Mrs. Burroughs is so nice and we enjoyed our time together. As a class we read the book Shh We Have a Plan by Chris Haughton.
