Miss Brehm's Kindergarten Classroom

The Sound of Music is my favorite movie. The song I love most is My Favorite Things. I have been known to sing that around our classroom and school for fun. I decided it would be fun/helpful to create a small book with each page dedicated to our favorite things. This book now lives at our Sunshine Chair with Nemo! Friends LOVE it! They have expressed how helpful it is to be reminded of all their favorite things! My favorite spot in the whole room! Happy Thursday! Love, Miss Brehm

Today we celebrated our amazing accomplishments... OUR WRITING! We celebrated by reading our wonderful stories in front of a fire, ate s'mores and finished with a whole class circle! We had so much fun! Happy Day! Love, Miss Brehm

The time has come, we are getting ready to publish our true stories!  We worked so hard on our stories and are excited to show them off! Our publishing party will be on Monday! We will share our stories around a campfire and enjoy a special treat! Love, Miss Brehm

Hello! I just wanted to remind everyone that this Monday will be a half day. Students will eat lunch today before being sent home at 11:30. The hot lunch option is a bag lunch from the cafeteria.  Hope everyone has a restful weekend! Love, Miss Brehm

A leprechaun visited our classroom last night! He left gold glitter throughout our classroom and crossed out my name in our morning message! At snack we also had a yummy treat, rainbow jello and green rice crispy treats. YUM! Happy St. Patrick's Day Ba mhaith liom t ú   á d h! Love, Miss Brehm

On Monday we learned about Whitetail Deer! We enjoyed the puppet show and looking at different pictures on a slide show. After we investigated skulls, fur, antlers and deer legs!  A HUGE thank you to our wonderful parent volunteers! We had a blast! Love, Miss Brehm

Last week we took some time out of our busy schedule for friends to share their books that get sent home. I was blown away by their reading skills! We have some super readers!  I am beyond impressed! Love, Miss Brehm

It was time for a change in our dramatic play area and Mrs. Bahr thought of creating a vet office! We are having so much fun examining x-rays, filling out visit forms, using stethoscopes, our new pet carrier and office space! It is a nice/fun change!

Spring Conference Sign Up It’s that time of year again! We have learned so much and would LOVE to share with you! Please take a moment to sign up for a parent/teacher conference. The form was sent home in backpacks today! If you choose to have a conference please return this sheet with the parent request form WEDNESDAY, March 9th . I will try my best to meet your needs and be flexible with scheduling. If none of these times work for you, please let me know so we can work together to make other arrangements . Confirmation notes will be sent home by Thursday, March 10th. Please indicate your 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice.
