Marvelous Monday

We are off and running on another incredible week! Friends are coming home with special watches that share one of our sight words... THE. Be sure to ask them what time it is!

Some important information to note...

Today is the last day to get your October Scholastic Book Orders in, please order online using the classroom code PCR8P.

Wednesday is HALLOWEEN! If you are planning on trick-or-treating and want to stop by I will be handing out candy! Please email me for the address.

Friday is Harry Potter Day! WOOOHOO!

A week from today (Monday, November 5th) Original Works orders are due!

This is my last full week before I go back to Oxford to graduate. I had a great meeting with Mrs. Bianca today who will be my substitute for the whole week (she is FABULOUS)! We have a great plan set up. So good in fact I bet you they won't even miss me! (Well, I'll be okay if they miss me a little bit, I know I will miss them). I will be sure to post on the blog about my trip and share all of the exciting events!

That's all for today!

I wish you well.
Love,
Miss Brehm

First Day Fun!

Today was a wonderful day! We had fun exploring our classroom, learning different expectations and just getting to know one another! We enjoyed our first special today LIBRARY! Mrs. Burroughs is so nice and we enjoyed our time together. As a class we read the book Shh We Have a Plan by Chris Haughton. It is a wonderful book that we will be creating our first classroom book about! In the whirl of the end of day I forgot to send home the first day letters with our schedule. I will make sure to get them home tomorrow in Thursday folders. I am so happy that we are all together! I can't wait to see what this year has in store for us!  Love, Miss Brehm

PAINT DAY!

Paint is READY! We are SO excited to meet Mary and paint our elephant!! ____________________________ Today was AMAZING! It surpassed all my wildest dreams! As a group we had SO much fun creating and painting our elephants! What an amazing experience it was to end our year together on! I hope you enjoy the pictures and are able to come and check out the wonderful elephants we created with MARY! Our morning started with Mary sharing what she does and different murals she has done throughout the US. Then we watched a quick video of her time in Chester, PA painting elephants!  Then we started to PAINT! Here is the evolution of our elephants!  To the finished product! One elephant will be hung in our classroom and the other will be hung somewhere in the school for everyone to enjoy!  A truly AMAZING day!  I wish you well! Love, Miss Brehm
