The weather is stunning and we took advantage of it today!
Instead of reading inside we went outside! We grabbed our book boxes, Mrs. Bahr had a blanket, and we went out to the playground to read! WOW! Readers did a great job and WE LOVED IT! Readers are working on introducing their books. Using language like "My book is called ____________." "It is about_______________." and "The pattern sounds like this_______________." or "My favorite part is this__________________."
You can do this too at home! If you are reading a book with your child you can model introducing a book or have your child practice introducing!
I hope you were able to enjoy this sunshine too!

Yesterday we learned a new math iPad game called Geo Boards! In math we started our new unit focusing on geometry and it is a great game that allows friends to explore creating new shapes!

The day we lead whole school morning meeting is approaching quickly. We will lead whole school morning meeting on May 2, 2017! We will demonstrate introducing one of our favorite star books Caps for Sale and act out our favorite part! Please join us if you can at 7:50-8:10. If you are joining us please arrive in the cafeteria at 7:45. We will be preparing and getting ready. On this day please try and have your child arrive earlier than usual (if possible) that way we can hit the ground running! If you are unable to join us Mr. Bouchard will video and I will be sure to post it here on the blog.
