One is a calendar that we will add to all year. The second is silhouette ornament you can hang anywhere! You will also find my gift to students. A wonderful book I tucked in Thursday Folders. I hope you have an amazing break! Thank you for all your love and support. I truly love our classroom family! It is such an honor to teach your child.  Happy Holidays! Love, Miss Brehm

Day 10 of Kindness Challenge!

Today's act of kindness is be kind to yourself! We wrote three things we liked about ourselves. It was a great connection to our activity we did last week talking about our best parts! Come check out our heart! We posted what we love all together on one BIG heart! Happy Monday! Love, Miss Brehm

Our Best Parts!

On Thursday we met with Mrs. Randall's fourth grade class. We read the book The Best Parts of Me by Wendy Ewald. Then we broke into partners to talk about our best parts! Friends worked hard to ask questions and dig deep for specifics! It was so fun to walk around and listen to the dialogue and the details that were being shared about each best part! We met again today to continue to work on our best parts. It was so much fun working together and brainstorming different ideas. Mr. Bouchard then came in and took pictures of everyone's best part! As a class we will type them up add the pictures and then post them in the hallway for everyone to see.  Such a fun way to spend the last part of our week! Love,  Miss Brehm

Class Pictures and Day 6 of Kindness Challenge

Class pictures are being sent home today!!! So exciting, everyone looks amazing! It is such a treat! A truly kind, respectful, loving, sharing, giving, beautiful inside and out class! Today was also Day 6 of our Kindness challenge! At all school morning meeting we were challenged to create cards and give them to adults. We brainstormed different adults that impact our lives in a positive way (mom and dad had the most by a landslide) then we brainstormed what we could write to them. We worked hard on our notes! Some friends chose to send them to teachers right in our school and were able to deliver them! Other friends who wrote to grandparents or parents if you want please take a picture of you and your child with your note, send it to me and I will put it up on the blog!    What a wonderful day! Full of love! Hope yours is just as wonderful. Love, Miss Brehm

Day 4 of 13 Days of Kindness / Game Day/ A New Friend

Day four is make a kindness chain! We brainstormed what kindness means and we came up with these words... complement, smile, helpful, nice, love, kind, manners, care, respect and share. Then friends chose which word they wanted to write on their chain and we connected them together. Our chain will be connected to the school chain!  After we had snack it was time for our Game Day celebration! Friends could choose from five different games! It was so fun! Then after lunch we celebrated a friends birthday! It is our last birthday of 2016! We had so much fun learning more about our friend!  I also have very exciting news to share! Our classroom family will be welcoming a new member! He will join us after our vacation! We are really excited to welcome him and share our special learning moments with him!  It has been a wonderful busy week in kindergarten!  I wish everyone a peaceful, joyful weekend! Love, Miss Brehm
