A Birthday, VEEP and a Guest Reader!

Today was such a wonderfully busy day! We kicked off our day celebrating the last time we will all be together for a week!!! (I am going to miss them so much!)

Our day kicked off with finishing our turkeys! Then watching Charlie Browns Thanksgiving and eating toast and popcorn! It was so fun!

After lunch we celebrated another friend's birthday! It is so fun to get to hear about all the amazing moments of friends lives! Many times I am told how much everyone LOVES birthday celebrations. It warms my heart!

Next we had a special guest come in from VEEP (Vermont Energy Education Program). We talked about shade and it's importance. Then we got to explore the BIG Question: How can we use a tree's shade to help us? It was great to see them work together, think together and explore together. A big thank you to Mrs. Randall for helping facilitate this awesome learning experience.

We used a wire tree and sticky notes as our leaves. Then we used a flashlight to see how much shade we created. The circles on the paper show the size of the shadow that was created!

Then after music we had a guest reader come in a read us a new favorite story!

Love,
Miss Brehm

Day TWO!

Day two is truly wonderful! We have so much fun together! Today we started working on our first classroom book and WOW it's going to be AMAZING! So many beautiful illustrators and creative thinkers in this class. Also today we completed our first of many Math and Writing rotations. It's been a busy busy busy day! Now to the fun stuff. It's always said that pictures speak much louder than words and I agree 100%. So here are the pictures from our magnificent day TWO! Right after lunch we went outside to explore our school garden with Nurse Amy! We picked marigold seeds which we are going to plant in our classroom! Check out all the fun we had!  It was a busy day indeed, but so much fun! I can't wait for tomorrow! Love, Miss Brehm

In honor of my momma, Katrina Brehm, I am running a marathon. Crazy, I know. I got it from her. In Mom’s memory, my goal is to raise enough money to send a child to @camptakumta ! Please take a moment to check out the link in my bio and if you’re able to, give any amount. Thank you ☀️
