In math we read a new book The Shape of Things written by Dayle Ann Dodds. It is a story about all of the shapes that are present in our lives. We are surrounded by shapes from houses to kites and sail boats to ferris wheels. Then during math stations we started creating our own pictures of things we can find in our world with shapes! The pictures will then be created into another classroom book. Due to time not everyone was able to come to my station... I will update this post once everyone has a turn.
