This semester I have been taking part in a writing class. I have learned many important aspects about writers workshop. My goal for the year is to keep my minilessons short ten minutes or less. I want to speak with intent so that every writer will be able to understand and take away the main teaching point. As a part of this class, I worked with Ariane Ehtesham, we created a feature bleacher (movie) focusing on the important aspects of the writers workshop.  (This youtube account is managed through the JES. The video is posted so that you must have the link to view and you cannot find it through youtube's search engine.) I love to learn and this has been such a wonderful and valuable experience! Throughout the year we have been practicing mindfulness. Yoga is one way to practice mindfulness! Today we learned three different yoga poses Down Dog, Cobra and Airplane! It helps center us and get ready for what comes next in our day. We practiced them all together as a class, then divided into groups and became experts in them!
